Florescence owners, Charles & Lee Reynolds, had the great pleasure of passing on one of the rewards from their achievement as the 2011 ACCI Business of the Year.   “Not only did we get the opportunity to profile our business” said Lee “but as winners we won a return Skywest flight to Perth and this was a prize we wanted to pass onto one of our wonderful customers”. After conducting a free raffle for their customers Raylene Maloney name was drawn on Valentine’s Day.   “It is very rewarding to have the opportunity to win something just for being a loyal customer. What a terrific idea.  I can't wait to enjoy my trip to Perth” said Raylene, who treats herself to liliums every couple of weeks, enjoying receiving her flowers with a happy smile & friendly chat. 

Charles and Lee went on to win the GWN7 Regional Small Business of the Year. “This was an enormous honour for us and a great win for the Great Southern” said Charles.  While Florescence will not be entering this year, Charles believes that all business should have a go “it’s a great opportunity for businesses to really look inside their organisation and identify their successes” he said “and don’t become discouraged if you don’t win first time, it took 4 years of entries in many different competitions before we won Business of the Year”.  The ACCI awards will be presented this year at a gala dinner at Wignalls Wines on 30 March. 

What a wonderful pleasure it was to hand over to Val and Janet another bucket of flowers for the pleasure of the patients and staff at the Albany Hospice. Florescence has long been supporters of the Hospice through the donation of bunches of flowers to their Op Shop, Butterflies and by giving the Hospice flowers to brighten the day of the patients, family, friend and staff there. We ask everyone to consider providing this wonderful community organisation all the support you can.
