At the WA Regional Small Business Awards held last night, Florescence was announced as the 2011 GWN Western Australian Regional Small Business of the Year. What an honoured. A great win for agribusiness, a wonderful acknowledgement of the support and networking in the Great Southern and a huge recognition of the hard work of our magnificent staff. This is a huge thank you to Charles and the team at Florescence. I got married 3 weeks ago and am still raving to anyone who will listen about my beautiful liliums. We used the eyeliner lily as the center piece on our tables and had huge vases full scattered around the reception venue. They were nothing short of spectacular. Starting with the phone call from the courier because I was not home when he delivered to the fantastic advice from charles on how to care for them until the big day, they were beautiful. They were still so fresh with new buds when we left for our honeymoon over a week after they were delivered so my friends got to enjoy them for even longer. Thank you thank you charles for making this bride very very happy (and for making up for what was lacking in my other flowers.) I wish I lived closer so I could have a constant supply. Theresa

What a wonderful pleasure it was to hand over to Val and Janet another bucket of flowers for the pleasure of the patients and staff at the Albany Hospice. Florescence has long been supporters of the Hospice through the donation of bunches of flowers to their Op Shop, Butterflies and by giving the Hospice flowers to brighten the day of the patients, family, friend and staff there. We ask everyone to consider providing this wonderful community organisation all the support you can.

We had a great Wedding flowers Master Class, with all the ladies attending going home with their own boxed arrangement. Well done ladies, wonderful job. A lovely group of people and we thank Mary and Elaine for sharing their skills by demonstrating how to arrange liliums. I would also like to thank Kathy from Iced and Spiced for showing us her cake making and decorating skills. All together a great night.

Small Business Awards - Florescence Wins Again! We are proud to have been announced Business of the Year at the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2011 Awards.  During the night we were also announced  winners in the Agribusiness category, The Best Small Business with 5-10 Employees and The Business Achiever Award.  This adds to our previous awards in 2010 including Winner of the Business Achiever Award at the Albany CCI Awards, Finalist in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards and Finalist in the GWN WA Regional Small Business Awards.  In 2009 we won the Western Australian Small Business Champion Award (Agribusiness category) and in 2008 we won a special award at the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2008 Awards.
