Florescence is the 2011 GWN7 Western Australian Regional Small Business of the Year

Charles and Lee from Florescence, named WA Regional Business of the Year 2011 with the Minister Simon O'Brien and Shauna Willis from GWNWhat an honour it was, when at the WA Regional Small Business Awards held on 11/11/11, Florescence was announced as the 2011 GWN7 Western Australian Regional Small Business of the Year. This was a great win for agribusiness, a wonderful acknowledgement of the support and networking in the Great Southern and a huge recognition of the hard work of our magnificent staff. We woudl like to thank the WA Small Business Commission, the Albany Chanmber of Commerce and Industry and the Small Business Centre Great Southern for all their support in helping us win this award.

This follows our absolute delight when Florescence was announced Albany’s 2011 Business of the Year at this year’s Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry Award Night.  On the night we also gained the award for being the Best Small Business with 5-10 employees, the best Agribusiness and winning the Business Achiever Award.  What a night!!

"It has been great to see Florescence's continuing success, especially with the increase in their quality, range and reliability of supply" said Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO, Graham Harvey. "ACCI congratulates them on their award: it reflects well on Albany."

This win adds to the accolades Florescence has received over the last few years, winning the Business Achiever Award during the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 2010 awards night. This night was particularly special as all our staff were there to help Charles and Lee collect the award.  2010 also saw Florescence become finalists in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards and the GWN WA Regional Small Business Awards.

The Australian Small Business Champion Awards provide small businesses the opportunity to be acknowledged for the commitment and drive required to succeed. "We understand the hard work that goes on behind the scenes -the late nights, the early mornings, the weekends. That's why we're delighted to congratulate Florescence on their achievements" said Symon Brewis-Weston, Executive General Manager of Commonwealth Bank's Local Business Banking, the Award's major sponsor.
