Florescence is the largest commercial exotic flower farm outside the Perth Metro Area and a big producer of quality liliums for the Western Australian market. In addition, we produce Zantedeschias (calla lilies) and Gladioli, and a 500 tree cherry orchard is being developed. As liliums fill an important niche in the WA cut flower industry, through effective marketing, best-practice business and horticultural management, Florescence has increased local and statewide sales to establish a thriving business.

Florescence produces a large number of extremely high quality liliums each year. These are grown all year round, with a large proportion sold into the state market through Tesselaar Flowers WA in Perth and the remainder into the Great Southern region through weekend markets, florists, local businesses and direct to the public throughout the working week from the farm (Mon to Fri 8-3).

For diversification, 350 cherry trees are grown under 2.5 acres of hail cloth, with a further 150 trees on order for later in the year.

As all our bulbs are sourced from overseas (Holland, New Zealand and Chile), we manage a strict quarantine regime, although this does not prevent the farm being open for visitors.

Our goal is to continue to maintain our year round production to sustain the demand for sales and retain our position as a very successful regionally based small business, operating extremely effectively within the Australian cut flower industry.

Small Business Awards - Florescence Wins Again! We are proud to have been anounced the winners of the Business Achiever Award during the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2010 Awards on Friday 19 Feb 2010.  During the night we were also anounced as the runner-up in the Agribusiness category, not bad considering the stiff competition. This adds to our previous awards including the 2009 Western Australian Small Business Champion Award (Agribusiness category) and a Special award at the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2008 Awards.
